If you are not confident to speak with your child in English, it is very important that you speak to them in your first language.
Children who are very good at talking, reading and writing in their first language, learn a second language very well.
Evidence shows that....The most successful bilingual learners are those who have two languages available in a rich form... a rich home language and a “rich outside home” language.
